While the vast majority of the world’s scientists agree that Climate Change is real and a serious immediate threat to our future, there is something of an ‘elephant in the room’ clouding the issue.  And that problem is clouds themselves – those lovely, wispy pieces of poetry that roll across the sky - and the role they will play as the planet continues to overheat.  Getting it right could be imperative to our collective survival.

Machines that can read both our minds and moods (as well as alter them) are now real and raising serious questions about the ability to hack people’s thoughts and feelings.  This rising technology promises to eradicate the horrors of war for those suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or ‘remove’ the grief of losing a loved one, and therein lies the dilemma.
 
 



OLD AUSSIE CARS NOW SELLING FOR $1M+!
The extraordinary boom in classic Aussie cars has smashed through the $1m barrier, with a car once owned by fast bowler Jeff Thomson skittling previous records and heralding a new era for Australian-made vehicles. The Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III cost $5,000 when it rolled off the production line almost 50 years ago (1971-72).  At the time it was the world’s fastest four-door passenger car, and now a near original version has gone under the hammer for $1.030m after spirited bidding.

AIHW REPORT: 'AUSTRALIA'S HEALTH 2018' - OUR HEALTH REPORT CARD IS IN
Australia is generally a healthy nation but there are some key areas where we could do better, according to the latest report from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW). The two-yearly report card, Australia’s health 2018, shows that Australia sits squarely in the best third of OECD countries when it comes to life expectancy, with girls born in 2016 likely to live 84.6 years, while boys can expect to live to 80.4 years.
