UNIQUE CARS - HOLDENS: THE NEW COLLECTIBLES
The announcement that the iconic Holden badge is set to disappear from new cars beyond this year has caused an enormous amount of emotional upheaval for many people.  But it is also set to have a significant impact on the extremely active (and often times lucrative) collectibles market. Since the closure of local manufacturing in 2017, the prices for ‘hero’ Holdens has reached astronomical levels – sometimes well over a quarter-of-a-million dollars for a 50 year old vehicle.  With no more Holdens being made, a ripple effect is likely across various Holden models.
