To be able to more effectively tackle climate change in Australia, we actually need a greater understanding of our own climate history. As it stands, our official meteorological records only begin in the 1900s. Now a project is looking to fill in the gaps, by piecing together all manner of weather-related records – from ships’ logs to paintings.
