REVERSING HEARING LOSS
In what promises to be a stunning development for many millions of people around the world, new genetic research is raising hopes that certain types of hearing loss may be reversible.  Until now, without the intervention of a mechanical hearing amplifier, most have resigned themselves to being on a steady downward path as they get older.    As Australia’s leading science publication COSMOS explains, the research is at a very early stage but already has plenty of people excited.
